If you were an inspector in a case, describe how you would remedy a violation on the spot. What would your instructions be to the facility’s owner?

If you were an inspector in a case, describe how you would remedy a violation on the spot. What would your instructions be to the facility’s owner? In your response to a classmate, explain whether you would do anything differently.

What type of public education initiatives has your organization implemented? Have you seen a positive fire reaction? If your organization has not implemented any, or if you are not in an organization, after reading the resources in this unit, what programs do you feel would have a positive impact if your organization implemented them? Do you believe that public education initiatives could reduce the impact on fire departments to provide an increase in services? Why, or why not?

Teamwork assessment correlated with supervisor ratings of job performance

You are the HR manager for a company that employs self-managed teams who operate assembly lines to produce televisions. Due to a series of interpersonal problems, you have been asked to find a way to hire only people who work well in teams. So, you contacted some local consulting companies to identify a selection assessment to purchase. Summaries of their brochures are provided below:

Holladay Business ($8 / applicant). HB designed their assessment to predict the teamwork behaviors of autoworkers, but they have begun to market their test to other industries. In their sample of auto workers, they found that their teamwork assessment correlated with supervisor ratings of job performance (r = .29), and it had a coefficient alpha of .70.
Team Assessors ($4 / applicant). TA recently constructed their assessment and it was used to select individuals to work in self-managed teams at a factory that makes televisions (not yours). Their brochure features a testimonial from a customer, who said: “before I used the Team Assessors Teamwork Test TM, we had fights among our employees all the time. Since we’ve been using the TATT to screen out those who aren’t team players, we haven’t had a single altercation among our employees.”
The Sherman Group ($9 / applicant). The Sherman Group is a French consulting company that has recently opened an office in the U.S. They have developed a measure to predict teamwork behaviors of factory workers in French companies. The measure, which has a test-retest reliability of .92, was found to correlate with supervisor ratings of teamwork behaviors (r = -.47) in a French sample.
Based on the (admittedly limited) data available to you, what are the strengths and limitations of each assessment? Which selection assessment you would purchase, and why? Remember, your decision must be grounded in the data made available to you. Also, keep in mind the recommendations from SIOP on questions to ask a test vendor.

Risk assessment can be a very subjective topic. Different people see risks differently in both probability and severity

Risk assessment can be a very subjective topic. Different people see risks differently in both probability and severity. What do you think are the most important reasons why employees’ differing perceptions of risks related to the tasks they perform might impact your ability to perform a risk assessment and relay the results to the workers? Do you feel it is justified? Why?

Part 2- Walking and working surfaces pose some of the greatest hazards to people. This is especially true in the occupational setting where the uneven surfaces can range from sand and gravel to an elevated working platform. After reading Chapter 27, look around your workplace or home at the various walking and working surfaces. Do you consider your workplace or home to be hazardous? Discuss why you consider them a hazard. Share your evaluation, and compare it to your class members’ input

Taken responsibility for your work/actions

give hypothetical HR work example:
Reflect how you have taken responsibility for your work/actions, including recognising and rectifying mistakes.
Think of an example, such as overpromising and spending longer/money on a project.
• Consider how you took responsibility for your own work e.g., clarifying requirements, or ensuring that you have the capabilities to complete the project.
• Consider any mistakes you made. How did you rectify these mistakes? What have you learnt?

Cloud storage and cloud computing

Cloud computing is a continually growing field. Cloud storage and cloud computing have made accessing data and systems much more flexible and easier than it used to be. However, this may come at a compromise of privacy.

Do you believe the loss in privacy is acceptable for the gains in convenience that are made available from cloud computing and cloud storage? Why or why not?

It is worth considering that while you are trusting your data to another company, that company also likely has firewalls and security measures that far exceed what is even available to consumers. Additionally, do you believe your data is more or less secure in a cloud-hosted environment? Why?

Organization’s industry and the competitive conditions/positioning affecting it

Create an analysis of the key external factors that have implications for successful implementation of your organization’s VMO( Morgan Stanley), strategy and goals/objectives. You will examine your organization’s industry and the competitive conditions/positioning affecting it now or likely to do so in the future.

A brief explanation of the industry (or industries) in which your organization operates as well as context for your organization’ current positioning.

Analyze the current conditions in your organization’s industry and in its relevant general environment and their likely implications for successful implementation of your organization’s strategic goals and related actions. Be sure to address the PESTEL framework.

Apply Porter’s Five-Forces Model to enrich your understanding of the environment in which your organization is now or may be operating. The Five Forces model should stress that this model is used to evaluate the industry, not your selected organization’s activities. The model should be used to isolate the dominant force(s) in the industry faced by all competitors and that produce the greatest threat to your organization’s profits and/or strategy. You should discuss how your firm can provide a defense against this threat or threats.

Describe your organization’s strategic group and construct a map to show its relative market position. Add in a discussion of your rationale for the grouping.

Summarize the threats and opportunities facing your organization gleaned from your analysis. (SWOT analysis) Submit the SWOT format in Table form and add in some narrative to discuss the threats and opportunities in more detail. Explain in your discussion (not in the table) why you selected them and how they relate to the VMO and organization’s strategy.

Evaluate the extent to which your organization’s current strategy appears a good match for the competitive conditions it confronts or any gaps that must be addressed.

Add in a strong conclusion that ensures the reader leaves your paper with a clear recap of your key points.

Challenging part of working with clients on relapse management?

What would you consider to be the most challenging part of working with clients on relapse management? What might get in your way or make it difficult for you?

Once clients are engaged actively in treatment, retention becomes a priority. Many obstacles may arise during treatment. Lapses may occur. Frequently, clients are unable or unwilling to adhere to program requirements. Repeated admissions and dropouts can occur. Clients may have conflicting mandates from various service systems. Concerns about client and staff relationships, including setting appropriate boundaries, can compromise care. Intensive outpatient treatment (IOT) programs need to have clear decision making processes and retention strategies to address these and other circumstances.
