I would like to know your perspectives on terminal cancer

I decided to introduce this article based on the fact that approximately 40% of people who choose to end their lives due to terminal illness are cancer patients. I would like to know your perspectives on terminal cancer and how best to honor the wishes of people with terminal illnesses? These are very personal issues and often these decisions are made by patients and families / adult children of older people / spouses and close friends. Additionally, these plans need doctors who agree with the wishes of the patient, yet there are also circumstances that prevent assisted death. what is your thought about this?

The Affordable Care Act allowed for the expansion of the Medicaid program

The Affordable Care Act allowed for the expansion of the Medicaid program. As the Act passed through the legal system, many states have decided not to expand their respective programs, and many changes associated to Medicaid have occurred over the years. Review some of the articles provided in the supplemental reading materials and consider visiting some of the websites to identify similar information about Medicaid Reform issues such as the Kaiser Family Foundation and CMS.

Provide a discussion on the following questions: How did the Medicaid expansion impact states?  How are the states’ populations impacted? How does the current Medicaid program impact different states? Offer reasoning behind either position and evidence to support it. You can also elect to address specific states, several states, and/or include information from a federal level in your discussion

Scenario on field trip safety

After reviewing the scenario on field trip safety, discuss any issues that might present concerns regarding licensure, safety, liability, and /or risk management.

The scenario is

The teachers at the Sunrise Early Childhood Center, located in a downtown neighborhood, developed a series of lesson plans about zoo animals that they will implement this coming school year. The lessons address the topic across several curricular areas, including science, language and creative arts, outdoor play, and nutrition education. The teachers are also looking into the possibility of organizing a field trip to the local city zoo. They know that field trips can be an enriching and reinforcing learning experience and that many of the children in this program have never had an opportunity to be close to zoo animals. However, the teachers also understand the challenges involved in taking a group of twenty 3- and 4-year-olds on this type of excursion. Their main priority is arranging safe transportation because the zoo is located on the other side of town. They must also be prepared to care for one child who is allergic to bee stings and several others who have pollen allergies and asthma.

Compare historical death customs to new directions in funerals and body disposition

Peer-reviewed, scientifically researched sources that are 10 years old or younger are what I am struggling with. Any are welcome.

Defining the public policy problem of interest is a key opening stage in policy analysis

Defining the public policy problem of interest is a key opening stage in policy analysis. In cautioning analysts about some of the possible pitfalls in problem definition, Bardach and Patashnik (2016) call attention to the risks of including the policy solution in the initial formulation of the issue at stake.

1) Why do you think this caution could be useful for public health policy analysts?

E.g., If someone frames the issue of low fruit and vegetables consumption as an issue of lack of access to full-service grocery stores, the problem definition implicitly points to more grocery stores as the preferred policy option, and this happens even before the analysts starts considering and evaluating the possible alternatives.

2) What other example/s can you think of?

A suitable donor for a kidney transplant

Don Hines is a 46-year-old construction worker who has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 13. Over the past 5 years, his kidney function began to fail despite his best efforts to follow a low-protein diet and control his diabetes. He has been on hemodialysis for 2 years while waiting for a suitable donor for a kidney transplant. On Christmas Day, he received a phone call that a kidney was available and he underwent successful transplant surgery. Don is 5 ft 8 in. tall and weighs 175 lb.

1.Don will require high doses of anti-inflammatory immunosuppressive drugs following his transplant. Based on his history of diabetes, why would these medications be cause for concern? What modifications in diet and diabetes medications may be necessary?

2.How would you explain to Don the changes in his diet prescription following kidney transplant compared to his previous diet while he was on hemodialysis?

3.Why are transplant patients at higher risk for foodborne infections? How would you educate Don about food safety?
