What is a portfolios in early childhood?
A child care portfolio is a structured collection of records that gives an individualized portrait of a child’s development over time at your center. It captures the child’s unique self, their progress and their place in your child care community. The portfolio can be digital, physical or both.
Why are children’s portfolios important?
Portfolios are a great way to capture information about a child, and a way to save and track information over time. Portfolios can document milestones and progress, and provide your Admission, Review and Dismissal/ Individualized Education Program (ARD/IEP) team with information to help support your child’s learning.
