Effective professional development

Description

As an instructional specialist, part of effective professional development includes the use of outside professional organizations. Writing effective proposals will help with the planning and approval processes.

Using one identified personal need from your self-assessment in Topic 3, research an outside professional development opportunity that will serve as an introduction to your professional development presentation in Topic 6. For example, if you identified that collaboration is an area in need of personal improvement, some of your colleagues may also benefit from a professional development providing ways to improve collaboration as well.

In addition, write a reflection explaining how this outside organization’s professional development will support ongoing learning opportunities and prepares for the professional development presentation in Topic 6.
