- Introduction. Provide an introduction paragraph to establish context for the paper. Be sure to identify the organization selected for EB assessment.
- Assessing EB Practices. Address the following questions concerning your organization’s decision-making practices:
- Leading-Edge Technologies. Does your organization implement leading-edge technologies, and/or best practices to address problems without knowing what the problems really are? Provide several examples to support your response.
- Systematic, Scientific Evidence. To what degree does your organization use systematic, scientific evidence when making organizational decisions? Explain.
- Internal Data Evaluation. How well does your organization scientifically collect, organize, and critically evaluate internal data? Describe the methods, organization tools and techniques, and strategies used for critical evaluation.
- External Data Evaluation. Do managers in your organization know how to evaluate external research? Explain.
- New Policies and Procedures. Does your organization explore new policies and procedures and/or evaluate the current ones for relevancy on a systematic basis? Provide evidence to support your response.
- Improving EB Decision Making. Formulate substantive ways to address one or more of the areas of weakness identified in the assessment of evidence-based practices in your selected organization. To supplement the paper, a table or graph or other illustration may be used and placed in the appendix of the paper.
- Conclusion. Provide a brief conclusion.
