Employers consider so many different things in the hiring process

In this course, we learned about revising and perfecting your resume, elevator speech, and professional portfolio. We also examined how to make connections within your professional network and some tips for nailing your interview. In a previous course, you may have learned about writing and revising your cover letter. Those are a lot of steps to complete in order to hopefully land a job!

Considering all of these steps, answer the following prompts.

  • Some people argue that prospective employers expect too much of candidates and make the application and hiring process too time-consuming and rigorous. Explain your opinion on this matter and detail why you think employers consider so many different things in the hiring process.
