Liberal feminist theory and socialist feminist theory
Comparison and contrasting liberal feminist theory and socialist feminist theory and their different approaches to addressing the causes, oppressions, and strategies that contribute to women’s workplace oppression. How do both theories deal with this issue? What is similar? What’s different? Which approach is better in addressing workplace oppressions? Perhaps the key distinction between the two main strands of feminist thought is that liberal feminists are individualist whereas socialist feminists are collectivist. Socialist feminists claim that the feminist movement can only progress via solidarity amongst women.2
