Looking to expand into international markets

Regarding start-up BISEP companies, they are looking to expand into international markets. The question for the company is which markets are worth pursuing given potential demand, distribution channels and regulatory requirements?

ROJECT APROACH

Four outcomes will be expected.
An identification of customers and sales potential.  This will involve
Identifying potential customers (hospitals, long term care facilities,
Rehabilitation facilities)
Estimating their size and from that estimating the potential sales (keep in
mind the parameters and figures mentioned in the presentation

Key rules and regulations related to (BUT NOT LIMITED TO), for example:
Licensing fees
Product standards
Patent Protection
Barriers to entry (tariffs and duties, quotas, other restrictions)

Key channel members, possibly including (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Wheelchair manufacturers
Other mobility equipment manufacturers
Distributors

A minimum of 5 major players must be provided.  This section must:

Identify the players
Describe the company and what they do
How and why they would be a viable partner for BISEP
A summary and description of each of these players MUST be provided in the appendix.  This summary should include (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Name
Location
Strategy, Vision, and Mission
Key Business Activities
Financial and Sales Indicators (where possible)
Key personnel

Recommendation on whether BISEP should consider the region you have studied, and
the reason for your recommendation.

3. Introduction – Overview of company, general review of its situation, company plans and needs, and the objective of the report.
4. Region Overview – Discuss the various factors and context specific to this region that may  need for this product.
5. Market Potential- This section will discuss your finding on the number of institutions and your estimation of the market potential.  You should be clear on your assumptions that have led you to make this estimation.

 

6. Regulatory Factors – This section will discuss the key regulations you have discovered and how this will impact BISEP’s efforts.
7. Channel Members – This section will discuss the key intermediaries you have identified and how they would be effective partners in facilitating BISEP’s sales.
8. Conclusion– This will summarise your findings and how this will be of benefit to the client. It should also discuss GENERAL courses of action the client should take moving forward, and risk associated with entering this market.
References – You must include all sources of information you obtained, both quantitative and qualitative.
Appendixes – all relevant tables, charts, diagrams, and visuals must be here and not the main body of the report
A list of potential channel members, as indicated above, MUST be included.
