Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, read Chapter 6: Selecting Employees and Placing Them in Jobs (Noe et al., 2022). Revisit the case first presented in your Week 2 Work Analysis and Design discussion forum.

Assume you have recruited several candidates for the sales director and the sales manager positions at GlobalX Beauty Company. Propose a minimum of three selection methods you would use to determine who should be hired for these positions. Defend the legal and regulatory guidelines you will use during the selection process.

Week 2 forum :

You are the HR manager for a global beauty supply company, GlobalX Beauty Supply. The company has three sales directors who manage over 200 sales managers working in 16 countries (i.e., United States, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Columbia, Argentina, and Peru). Each year, 10 to 20 more sales managers are added to the staff and leadership is currently discussing expanding operations to several eastern European countries. The three sales directors have stated they are overwhelmed and cannot supervise so many managers. They contend they are unable to complete monthly reports and attend strategy meetings when they have over 65 direct reports.
