The First Amendment Encyclopedia

INSTRUCTIONS:1. Read the pdf file titled “Censorship: The First Amendment Encyclopedia” located in the Paper Topics folder.
2. After reading the article, determine your position on the issue of censorship.
3. Make a logical outline of your argument stating your position/conclusion and the reasons/premises you will develop in the paper in support of your position. Submit the outline as page 1 of your paper, but do not count it toward the word count of the paper.
4. Write the paper being sure to clearly set out and develop an argument for your position.
5. The paper is due no later than 11:59 PM on the date listed on the Syllabus.
LAYOUT OF PAPER:
The paper should be a minimum of 500 words and no more than 600 words (not including the outline). The paper should be written in 12 point font (Times New Roman or similar font) double spaced with 1” margins. You do not need a title page. Place your Name, Phil 2306, and Paper 1 across the header. Start your paper on the first line of the page (after the header) so that you have a full three pages to write. If you use sources, please cite them in the paper. You can use the citation style of your choice but be consistent throughout the paper.
