In the article “How executives can help sustain value creation for the long term”, July 22, 2021 Ariel Babcock, Sarah Keohane Williamson, and Tim Koller argue that managers who focus on making decisions that satisfy customers, engage and motivate employees, and maintain good relations with communities and regulators across extended time horizons will be too distracted to deal with day-to-day business problems and thus destroy shareholder value.
