Overview: Students will watch political news shows such as “This Week” (ABC), Washington Week in Review (PBS), Meet the Press (NBC), Face the Nation (CBS), Inside Washington (PBS), Hardball with Chris Mathews (MSNBC or CNBC), Last Week with John Oliver (HBO), Hannity (Fox News) or Washington Journal (CSPAN). You are not limited to these shows – please make sure it is on a reputable channel. Being informed about what is going on around the world will help facilitate discussion about the role of government in our day to day lives, the protections set in place and how government impacts the world. I hope this encourages you to research more about events and helps you understand the importance of people, or events, and how they impact your life.
