Cardiovascular disease

Several studies have shown that one of the leading causes of death among men in
the United States is cardiovascular disease (CVD). Although high levels of blood
pressure and cholesterol have been identified as significant CVD risk factors, their
prevalence remains high in this population group. What factors (e.g., values, behaviors,
contributions from multiple professions and public health systems) need to be
quantitatively investigated to significantly control blood pressure and cholesterol levels
in American men? Please formulate two quantitative research questions to explore these factors,
within the context of a theory (Theory of Organizational Change, Social Cognitive Theory, or Socio-Ecological Model) you selected for this scenario.

Current event in the news

For this week’s assignment, you will be considering how news media coverage affects public perceptions of issues in the news.   You will be selecting a current event in the news and you will read three news articles related to the same event:  One from the United States and two from other countries that also reported on the same event.

  • Identification of the current event chosen along with identification of the three news articles.
  • Include the full article, including the date it was published and the country it was reported in, and a URL/web link to each source.
  • Compare the similarities and differences between the articles in the facts, and perspectives of the reporter (tone, opinions shared, etc.).

Note – essential nutrients are the nutrients that must be consumed because they cannot be made by the body. o Nutrients: Phytochemicals: o Zoochemical: 0 Functional foods: o Food quality: List the 6 groups of nutrients and give the macro and micronutrients. Explain the function of each class of nutrients. List which nutrients provide energy, and which don’t. How are Kilocalories, Calories, and calories related? Explain high-quality food. List the number of Calories we get per gram of macronutrients and apply the values to math problems see Appendix B for math examples. Sample question – A piece of cheese pizza contains 52 grams of carbohydrates, 24 grams of Protein, and 30 grams of fat. How many calories will it contain? What percent of calories come from fat? o Explain nutrient dense vs empty calorie (energy-dense) food and give an example of each. Explain why whole (unprocessed) food is considered to be a higher food quality source. Relate to phytochemicals and zoochemical

Cash flow analysis

Using the chart of cash revenues and costs, read and understand the cash flow analysis results. Then provide your decision on whether to make the purchase or not. You will frame this recommendation in a 2-minute pitch to your boss, the CEO of the organization. Record your 2-minute pitch as an audio recording and be persuasive, providing solid evidence for your conclusion on whether to purchase the equipment or not.
