Research and analyze the ethical issues involved in a healthcare environment

Healthcare professionals face ethical questions every day. This is particularly true for those whose scriptural worldview may seem unfamiliar, or even antagonistic, to the secular scientific community. This assignment asks you to research and analyze the ethical issues involved in a healthcare environment that poses such ethical challenges.

The Collins text explores a number of current healthcare topics that present bioethical issues, especially when viewed from a biblical worldview perspective:

  • Medical genetics
  • Personalized medicine
  • DNA testing
  • Stem cells and cloning
  • Genetic enhancement

Select one of these topics and provide critical analysis of (i) the ethical issues for society, (ii) the ethical issues for a Christian healthcare professional, and (iii) whether and how a Christian should participate in such efforts. Title your thread with the subject of the analysis and your conclusion (e.g., “Cloning, Ethical”).

Acceptable sources include books, legal and business journals, legal cases, the law (cases, statutes, regulations, etc.), the Bible, biblical commentary, etc. Dictionaries and other web sources that lack scholarly support are not acceptable sources. Any sources cited must be current to the issue (e.g. Bible commentaries may by applicable from any age, but articles discussing current legal or healthcare practices may no longer be relevant after 5 – 10 years).

A well-developed, complete worldview analysis of the situation requires more than simply adding a Bible verse at the end of the post. Each thread must include at least two separate verses from Scripture, quoted and applied as an integral part of the discussion of the applicable issues in the context of a biblical worldview. Each reply will include at least one Scripture verse integrated in the same manner.

Note: For Discussion: Personal Application, your analysis must be supported by at least four scholarly sources, including the textbook chapter(s) and the Bible, cited in current APA format. Each reply must be supported by at least four scholarly sources, including the textbook chapter and the Bible, cited in current APA format. Because this discussion is based on chapters within the textbook, the text will count as one of the four required sources.

Good understanding of pay equity in Ontario

As per the World Economic Forum, The global pay gap between men and women will
take 202 years to close.

complaint management; understanding gender wage gap through research; and
promoting awareness to advance economic equality for Ontario’s working women.
Do you think pay equity commission has helped reduce the gender wage gap over the
30 years or there continues to be a substantial wage gap in Ontario? If so, how can this
gap be further reduced? What initiatives are taken by Ontario govt. recently to close
this gap? Explain your answer and give specific solutions. A minimum of three external
sources are required.
Make sure your work is cited using APA style. Your answer should be between two and
three pages in length, double spaced.

Creating awarness and change relating to sexual harassment assault, and violence in the workplace

Recent times have seen the rise of the #MeToo movement, focused on creating awarness and change relating to sexual harassment assault, and violence in the workplace. At first, the movement centered on female Hollywood celebrities, Such as Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano, who alleged misconduct by producer Harvey Weinstein. However, once the silence was broken in Hollywood, many women around the world began using the #MeToo hashtag on Twitter and Facebook, pointing to their own experiences with workplace harassement or misconduct.
